Kellan worked as an Onboard Outreach Officer (OOO) for the JOIDES Resolution<\/em> (JR) during Expedition 401. As an OOO, Kellan was in charge of writing blog posts for the JR webpage, creating social media posts, writing reports, running live tours, and a personal project. In addition to this work, Kellan took over 5000 photos (see PHOTOG. at the top for that work). Her photography was used to create various social media posts including a few recreation photos of previous expeditions and highlights of the drilling crew.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Kellan’s personal project included 18 original pieces of artwork, both digital and traditional. This artwork features various members from the 401 science party and IODP\/SIEM Offshore crew. This artworks highlights the specific science completed while aboard the JR and can be seen below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kellan’s personal project also includes a “before and after” portrait series of 6 members from the science party. Please see the next page for more information.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Since the cruise, Kellan attended the X401 Sampling Party (July 2024) and held an exhibit at the American Geophysical Union (AGU) Conference in December 2024 through the United States Science Support Program (USSSP). Kellan plans to continue making artwork for this science party well into the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
