Below is a series of digital portraits drawn before and after Expedition 401. Each of the 6 scientists drawn were drawn twice, once at the beginning of the two month cruise, and once at the end. This series shows the physical (and potentially emotional) changes the scientists aboard faced during their expedition. In order from left to right, downward are as follows: Zhiyang Li, Zakaria Yousfi, Erika Tanaka, Fransisco Tovar-Rodriguez, Rachel Flecker, and Emmanuelle Ducassou.
